The ideal candidate has a CPA, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 8+ years of accounting experience, and 3+ years in leadership, plus expert Excel, SAP and regulatory reporting proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a regionally accredited college or university
• CPA License
• 8+ years of financial or accounting experience
• 3+ years of leadership or project lead experience
• Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Advanced knowledge of SEC accounting, reporting, and disclosure requirements
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Advanced analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to engage with senior leadership and external constituents
• Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate, innovate, and improve processes
• Experience guiding supervisors, analysts, and accountants

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for regulatory and financial reporting, including FERC, FPSC, and SEC filings
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting with reconciliation and analytical review
• Oversee monthly close activities and internal controls governance for SOX compliance
• Support rate cases with regulatory financial strategy and testimony
• Lead a multifunctional team and drive process improvements
• Collaborate with external auditors and legal counsel
• Present accounting matters to leadership and auditors
