Job summary

Chime Financial, Inc is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting to lead external financial reporting on the Controllership team, owning Form 10-Q/10-K/8-K preparation, equity accounting under ASC 718, and statutory reporting. You will partner with Legal, FP&A, Investor Relations, and external auditors, ensuring accuracy and controls.

This role requires deep US GAAP knowledge, 6+ years of accounting, and hands-on experience with SEC filings; advanced Excel skills and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 6+ years of accounting experience; Big 4 preferred.
• CPA preferred; strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules (Regulation S-X/S-K) expected.
• Experience with Form 10-Q/10-K/8-K preparation and review.
• Stock-based compensation accounting ownership; intercompany and statutory reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation/review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q/10-K/8-K), including financial statements, footnotes, EPS and equity rollforwards.
• Manage reporting calendar, disclosure checklists, XBRL tagging, and tie-out files with Legal, FP&A, Investor Relations and external auditors.
• Own ASC 718 equity accounting across RSUs, options and ESPP, including modifications and cancellations.
• Prepare/review statutory/regulatory financial statements and filings.
• Establish scalable intercompany accounting processes for a growing multi-entity structure.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis at month-end close for equity and reporting areas.
• Document and maintain SOX-compliant policies, processes, and internal controls; drive automation of manual tasks.
