Job summary

Fehr Graham in East Peoria, IL is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning and Project Accounting to lead the project accounting and financial analysis team. You will improve forecasting, reporting, and profitability insights for project managers and operations leaders.

The role demands 7+ years of progressive experience in project accounting and FP&A, with strong leadership and excellent Excel and Deltek Vantagepoint/Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in project accounting, FP&A, or related finance work with leadership.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) or project-based environment preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, Power BI or comparable systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead project accounting, profitability reporting, budgeting and forecasting, dashboards, KPIs, and analytics.
• Develop and mentor the project accounting and financial analysis team.
• Partner with project managers and leaders to interpret results and drive decisions.
• Build and improve budgets, forecasts, profitability models, dashboards, and leadership reporting.
• Recommend improvements to financial planning, data quality, and reporting processes.
• Make decisions on analytical methods, reporting approaches, and routine process improvements within controls.
• Flag significant risks and forecast concerns to the CFO.
