Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; Masters preferred.
• CPA, CFA or other relevant financial credentials preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in financial due diligence or transaction advisory.
• Financial institutions experience required with direct credit union experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 805, ASC 326 and financial institution regulatory reporting preferred.
• Strong analytical, project management and problem-solving skills with ability to handle multiple deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to lead engagements from planning through final client presentation with limited supervision.
• Executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills; Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead merger and buy-side financial due diligence engagements from initial scoping through final client presentation.
• Analyze historical and projected financial performance, including earnings quality, capital, liquidity, asset quality, and other transaction-specific matters.
• Lead loan portfolio and credit diligence, including concentrations, delinquencies, and risk ratings.
• Assess purchase accounting, fair value marks, merger-related costs, and post-close earnings implications.
• Identify risks, value drivers and opportunities affecting valuation and deal terms.
• Prepare diligence reports, executive summaries and presentations for senior management and boards.
• Manage engagement scope, budgets, timelines, and client communications under deadlines.
• Collaborate with valuation, tax, audit, regulatory, legal, technology, cybersecurity and other specialists.
• Supervise and develop team members, review workpapers and ensure engagement quality.
• Support practice growth through proposals, prospect meetings and client relationships.
