Our client is in search of a Senior Manager, Finance IT & ERP Solution Architect to join their team and help lead a Financials systems transformation.
Most of the company's capital sits in capital projects, and Finance runs today on NetSuite with a set of bolt-on systems around it. Our client is moving to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP to consolidate that estate, fix the manual work in intercompany and project accounting, and scale past the limits of the current setup. This role supports the program from design through go-live and stays on to administer the system in production.
What you will do
You own the end-to-end solution design for the Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP build and act as the senior point of contact between Finance, the IT team, and the implementation partner. You translate finance and accounting requirements into a working Oracle configuration— and you understand the accounting that configuration produces, down to the debits and credits each design decision drives. You set the scope and rollout plan across the program, and you make the architecture decisions that hold it together.
During the build
- Lead requirement and design workshops with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury, and turn the outcomes into documented design decisions.
- Define the chart of accounts, ledger and multi-book structure, and the legal entity and business unit model, with a design that scales, mapping NetSuite to the Oracle Fusion target.
- Design the intercompany and pay-on-behalf framework, splitting the work between Oracle native intercompany and BlackLine for the complex multi-intermediary cases, with the goal of cutting the manual journals that dominate close today.
- Design Project Portfolio Management for capital projects: project budgeting and control, cost capture, and project-to-asset capitalization, since most of the company's capital runs through capital projects.
- Own the consolidation and planning design as the EPM layer moves from NetSuite CMC and NetSuite NSPB onto Oracle Cloud, covering the multi-book and statutory close, intercompany eliminations, and the consolidated reporting finance leadership signs off.
- Set the scope and rollout plan across GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany, allocations and payments, PPM, and close and consolidation.
- Design the broader scope: fuller Procure to Pay, Expenses, Tax, Revenue Management, Lease Accounting, Collections, and master data management, RecVue, Expensify, LeaseQuery, and the standalone MDM and vendor portal tools.
- Design the integration architecture on MuleSoft, integrating downstream systems interfacing with ERP.
- Own the data migration strategy off NetSuite, the security and role design, and the reporting approach across OTBI, BI Publisher, Financial Reporting Studio, and Smart View.
- Review partner deliverables, including configuration workbooks, design documents, and test plans, and hold them to the agreed design.
Post go-live
- Act as the senior administrator and design authority for the production environment, owning configuration changes, quarterly update testing, and the change-control process.
- Set the standards the functional and technical administrators follow, and resolve the issues that cross module or integration boundaries.
- Plan and govern the rollout of additional entities, modules, or reporting as the footprint grows.
What you bring
- Ten or more years working with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (Financials), including several full-cycle implementations in a lead design or architect role.
- Fluency in the accounting itself, not just the configuration: you know the debits and credits each subledger event should generate, how subledger accounting rules, transaction types, and account derivation drive those entries into the general ledger, and you can work the chain in both directions — anticipating the accounting impact of a design decision before anything posts, and tracing an unexpected balance back to the setup that produced it.
- Deep configuration knowledge across the financial core (GL multi-book and local statutory, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany), with real depth in Project Portfolio Management for a capital-project business.
- Experience designing intercompany and pay-on-behalf accounting at scale, ideally alongside BlackLine, and a clear view of where Oracle native intercompany ends and a co-solution begins.
- Ownership of consolidation and planning as it transitions from NetSuite CMC and NetSuite NSPB onto Oracle Cloud, and working knowledge of the wider module scope (Procure to Pay, Tax, Revenue Management, Lease Accounting).
- A clear grasp of Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Acquire to Retire as end-to-end processes, not just module settings.
- Experience with AI-based automation or agentic AI in a finance or ERP setting is a plus.
- A track record of running workshops and steering both business stakeholders and an implementation partner toward decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field. Oracle Cloud certification in Financials is preferred.
- Prior NetSuite experience, or a NetSuite-to-Oracle Fusion migration, is a plus, as is exposure to multi-entity global finance operations.
