About This Role

The Senior Manager of Field Sales leads a team of Sales Representatives across Ohio and Michigan to drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will translate strategic vision into regional execution - expanding accounts, acquiring new business, and increasing market share in BAS, HVAC controls, energy services, and digital building solutions. By coaching, developing, and holding your team accountable, you will deliver annual bookings, revenue, and margin targets aligned with enterprise priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Leadership: Lead, coach, and recruit a sales team serving Toledo, Cleveland, Columbus, and Detroit. Establish sales plans and run regular forecast and strategy reviews.
• Strategic Market Growth: Execute regional strategies across key verticals (healthcare, higher education, data centers, etc.) and align with Regional Sales functional lead.
• Business Development: Support major customer pursuits, review key opportunities, and build executive relationships with decision-makers, engineers, and contractors.
• Financial Performance: Achieve annual bookings, revenue, and gross margin targets while maintaining accurate CRM forecasting and pipeline management.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Service to ensure smooth project handoffs, execution, and regional success.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience in the Building Automation Systems (BAS) or building controls industry
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid and current Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2+ years of direct sales management, supervisory, or team leadership experience in commercial HVAC/BAS or construction technology.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in HVAC, Building Automation Systems, and building technology solutions.
• 3+ years managing, coaching, and developing remote or regional sales teams across multiple territories (e.g., Ohio and Michigan branches).
• Proven track record of achieving revenue, gross margin, operating profit, and annual bookings growth.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic territory planning, pipeline management, and multi-vertical market growth (e.g., healthcare, higher education, data centers, commercial real estate).
• Strong background in customer relationship management (CRM) systems – SalesForce in particular, including driving team utilization and forecasting accuracy.
• Deep experience building strategic partnerships with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and executive-level facility decision-makers.
• Exceptional executive presence, presentation skills, and cross-functional leadership ability across engineering, operations, and service business units.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

Thisposition is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
