Job summary

Dürr Systems, LLC in Southfield, Michigan is seeking a Senior Manager to lead field installation, electrical installation, and system commissioning of automotive paint systems on-site at major projects. You will manage field teams, coordinate with engineering, project management, suppliers, and customers to ensure safety, schedule, quality, and performance.

This role requires extensive leadership in paint shop projects and travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent leadership experience may be considered.
10+ years in installation, start-up, commissioning, or site management for automotive paint systems or large automation projects.
5+ years managing managers, supervisors, field teams, subcontractors, or multi-discipline field groups.
Strong knowledge of paint shop equipment and processes (pretreatment, electrocoat, ovens, booths, robots, controls).
Ability to translate drawings into executable field plans and supervise commissioning activities.
Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites and manage field execution.

Responsibilities

Lead field installation and commissioning teams for automotive paint systems.
Provide direction to site managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and field resources.
Oversee day-to-day site execution including pretreatment, electrocoat, ovens, and robots.
Develop installation plans, schedules, risk registers, and punch-list processes.
Coordinate with project management, engineering, suppliers, and customer representatives.
Escalate and resolve field issues during installation, start-up, testing, and acceptance.
Drive timely closure of issues and customer punch-list items before handover.
