Job summary

Redwood Materials seeks a Senior Manager of Facilities to lead the operations, reliability, and readiness of its manufacturing facilities. You will guide systems from installation through startup, handover, and ongoing support in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

You will manage building systems, utilities, and infrastructure, mentor a high-performing team, and drive improvements across safety, uptime, and compliance. Strong leadership and practical, problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of facilities, plant engineering, commissioning, maintenance, or related operations in complex environments.
• Experience leading facilities operations in fast-paced settings emphasizing safety, reliability, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and day-to-day operations of Facilities to ensure safety, uptime, compliance, and site readiness.
• Oversee maintenance and operation of building systems, utilities, and infrastructure (HVAC, lighting, grounds).
• Build and mentor a high-performing facilities team and manage priorities, contractors, and escalations.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve response time, asset reliability, and maintenance effectiveness.
• Manage capital and expense projects including scope, budget, schedule, and contractor coordination.
• Support new construction, tenant improvements, equipment installs, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Lead commissioning and startup readiness for facility systems supporting new/expanded operations.
• Develop turnover plans and acceptance criteria; ensure comprehensive handover documentation.
• Ensure punch-list closure and issue tracking with clear owners and action plans.
• Support CMMS readiness with asset data, preventive maintenance, and documentation.
• Develop KPIs for facilities performance and maintenance execution.
• Maintain environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
