Job summary

WMATA seeks a Senior Manager, Project Estimating to lead a staff of engineers and construction professionals in preparing independent cost estimates and integrated total project cost and schedule estimates. You will enforce WMATA procedures, develop departmental guidelines, and drive process improvements while presenting reports to managers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Technology or related field.
• In lieu of degree, a high school diploma/GED with related training (e.g. PMP) and 4 years construction experience will be considered.
• Five+ years in estimating staff supervision is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating and cost analysis staff and establish procedures/standards.
• Review basis of estimates, assumptions, productivity rates, and cost analyses.
• Lead delivery of estimating services for procurement, planning and execution.
• Promote use of industry standards for estimating throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate automation of estimating processes and improve reporting KPIs.
