Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Estimating to lead a staff of engineers and construction professionals in preparing independent cost estimates and integrated cost and schedule estimates in Silver Spring, MD. You will implement WMATA procedures, mentor teams, and present KPI-driven reports to management.

Responsibilities include guiding estimating staff, reviewing estimates for accuracy and compliance, and advancing automated cost-estimating

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Technology or related field.
Ten years in construction, including at least five years supervising estimating staff.
Experience on large and complex construction projects.
AACE Certification or PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and guide the estimating and cost analysis staff, establishing standards.
Review basis of estimates, productivity rates, and regulatory requirements.
Deliver construction and total project cost estimating services for procurement and planning.
Promote industry standards and automate estimating processes.
Develop reports on cost estimating workload and KPIs.
Train staff on project cost estimating trends and practices.
Coordinate with WMATA project teams and asset offices.
