Job summary

Edward Jones seeks an experienced Senior Manager - Enterprise Risk Intelligence to lead the evolution of the firm's risk analytics capabilities. You will shape how enterprise risk is identified, analyzed, monitored, and communicated across the firm, partnering with leaders to elevate governance and strategic decision making.

This role offers visibility, leadership of a talented team, and opportunities to implement modern data visualization, automation, and GRC tooling while aligning risk

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, economics, data science, math or analytics preferred
  • 7+ years analytical, critical and systems thinking experience
  • 7+ years experience interacting with database systems (DB2, Oracle, Snowflake, Databricks)
  • 7+ years experience using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, macros, VBA, charts/graphs
  • Intermediate knowledge of statistical concepts and analytic techniques
  • Proficient with creating data visualizations using Tableau
  • Leadership and capability building experience

Responsibilities

  • Leading team members in achieving the department's stated objectives, including risk reporting, data analytics, key risk indicators, data visualization, and GRC technology enablement
  • Develop, enhance, and govern reporting and intelligence capabilities that provide timely, accurate, and actionable risk insights to senior leadership, ERMC, and the A&RC
  • Drive the strategic execution of ERM's technology roadmap, advancing innovation, automation, and modernization across risk management processes and tools
  • Influence business areas on how to effectively use analytics to solve business issues, including integrating risk intelligence into business planning
  • Executing best in class analytics within area of responsibility to identify trends, emerging risks, and key exposures
  • Oversee the administration and ongoing enhancement of the firm's Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) technology platform
  • Translate firmwide messaging to ensure functional understanding and change management
  • Personnel decisions include performance reviews, hiring selection and necessary training

Are you a visionary leader who can turn risk data into strategic business intelligence?

As the Senior Manager - Enterprise Risk Intelligence, you will shape and advance the organization's Risk Intelligence capabilities, transforming how enterprise risk is identified, analyzed, monitored, and communicated across the firm. This highly visible leadership role sits at the intersection of risk management, data analytics, technology innovation, and executive decision‑making, offering a unique opportunity to influence the organization's risk strategy and future direction.

You will lead the evolution of the firm's Risk Intelligence function, delivering timely, actionable insights that inform senior leadership, the Enterprise Risk Management Committee (ERMC), and the Audit & Risk Committee (A&RC). By leveraging innovative technologies, advanced analytics, and modern visualization capabilities, you will help drive a more transparent, data‑driven approach to risk management while strengthening the firm's ability to anticipate, prioritize, and respond to emerging risks.

Partnering closely with leaders across the organization, you will champion the modernization of risk intelligence, enhance reporting and governance capabilities, and foster a culture where meaningful risk insights support smarter business decisions. Your leadership will be instrumental in building scalable processes, advancing technology solutions, and ensuring enterprise risk information is accessible, impactful, and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented team, influence enterprise‑wide initiatives, and drive transformational change within a critical function. Reporting directly to an Enterprise Risk Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Enterprise Risk Management and equipping the organization with the insights, tools, and governance needed to navigate an increasingly complex risk landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading team members in achieving the department's stated objectives, including risk reporting, data analytics, key risk indicators, data visualization, and GRC technology enablement.
  • Develop, enhance, and govern reporting and intelligence capabilities that provide timely, accurate, and actionable risk insights to senior leadership, ERMC, and the A&RC.
  • Drive the strategic execution of ERM's technology roadmap, advancing innovation, automation, and modernization across risk management processes and tools.
  • Influence business areas on how to effectively use analytics to solve business issues, including, integrating risk intelligence into business planning and decision-making, increasing transparency and understanding of the firm's risk profile.
  • Executing best in class analytics within area of responsibility to identify trends, emerging risks, and key exposures, enabling effective risk prioritization and management.
  • Accountable the appropriate analytical approach to deliver repeatable, scalable, and high‑quality risk reporting, metrics, and dashboards aligned with the organization's strategic objectives and governance framework.
  • Oversee the administration and ongoing enhancement of the firm's Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) technology platform, including vendor management and user adoption.
  • Responsible for translating department strategy into execution and implementation
  • Equip team members with the analytical knowledge and skills to inform the prioritization of deliverables and trade‑off decisions to meet the needs of stakeholders.
  • Providing analytical insights to large and often complex initiatives.
  • Translate firmwide messaging to ensure functional understanding and change management.
  • Personnel decisions include performance reviews, hiring selection and necessary training.

This position is known internally as a Senior Manager - Data Analytics.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required with an emphasis in finance, business, economics, data science, math or analytics preferred.
  • 7+ years related analytical, critical and systems thinking experience
  • 7+ years experience interacting with database systems (DB2, Oracle, Snowflake, Databricks)
  • 7+ years experience using Microsoft Excel, including use of pivot tables, formulas, macros, VBA, charts/graph
  • Intermediate knowledge of statistical concepts and analytic techniques, including descriptive statistics, forecasting, exploratory analysis, and variance analysis required.
  • Must be proficient with creating data visualizations using Tableau.
  • Leadership and capability building experience
