Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience leading technology, software delivery, digital product, or related functions.
  • Experience leading managers, team leaders, project leaders, or cross-functional technology teams.
  • Demonstrated success delivering technology solutions through agile, product-based, or iterative delivery approaches.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices, technology operations, quality engineering, and change management
  • Experience establishing goals, metrics, and accountability structures that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build trusted partnerships, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to lead through complexity, make sound decisions, and develop high-performing, inclusive teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple technology and product delivery teams, aligning priorities, resources, and execution with firm and client experience objectives.
  • Develop and execute department strategy, roadmaps, and delivery plans that support digital client experience initiatives and long-term business goals.
  • Foster strong partnerships across Product Management, UX, Quality Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Shared Services, and business stakeholders to deliver high-value solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product delivery, operational excellence, quality, usability, reliability, and speed to market.
  • Lead, coach, and develop leaders and associates, creating an inclusive environment focused on growth, engagement, and succession planning.
  • Establish measurable success metrics and hold teams accountable for delivering client, operational, and business outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture, risk management, information security, compliance, and change management standards.
  • Manage departmental investments and resources responsibly while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and team effectiveness.

Team Overview

At Edward Jones, we are investing in innovative digital experiences that help clients engage more effectively with their financial goals. As a Department Leader, Client Experience Technology, you will lead multiple product delivery teams responsible for building, supporting, and evolving digital solutions within the Client Financial Portal and broader client experience ecosystem. This role combines strategic technology leadership, product delivery oversight, and people leadership. You will partner closely with Product, User Experience, Architecture, Quality Engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and client-focused technology solutions that improve the client and branch experience. This position offers the opportunity to shape technology strategy, influence enterprise priorities, develop future leaders, and drive meaningful outcomes for clients and the firm.

What You’ll Do

What Could Set You Apart
  • Experience supporting digital client experiences, customer platforms, portals, or online service channels.
  • Experience within financial services, wealth management, banking, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Exposure to product management, user experience, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and large-scale technology ecosystems.
  • Relevant industry certifications, technology leadership training, or agile credentials.
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or willingness to obtain within established firm guidelines.
Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
