Overview




We are a Healthcare Data Analytics company looking for a Sr Manager of Engineering. In this role you will lead, direct, and manage the day-to-day operations of software engineers and TPOs. You will work closely with other R&D teams, enterprise data management teams, IT, and Client Services teams, as well as the Clinical operations teams. You will manage all the operational aspects of the software development to ensure business and project objectives are met and delivered on time. You will provide administrative, technical, and people leadership for multiple, diverse, and geographically distributed teams. You are responsible for providing feedback to the team and individuals on their performance.






Responsibilities




    Hire, develop, coach, lead, and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that employs best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Complete all responsibilities as assigned as well as special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure engineers follow the defined Cotiviti SDLC standards.
  • Coordinate with DevOps, IT, and DBAs to get requests of your team members fulfilled.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for the issues encountered and make sure that permanent fix is applied.
  • Continuously look for process improvement and optimization opportunities keeping the big picture in mind that can help reduce delivery time and operational cost for the organization.
  • Participate in requirement collection, architectural discussions and collaborate with team members.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to find opportunities for automation and quality improvement.
  • Provide regular updates to management and peers about ongoing project status.
  • Proven leadership skills, demonstrated ability to mentor, influence, and deliver scalable and robust data solutions





Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of management experience with increasing level of responsibility and oversight.
  • Experience estimating and planning software development projects including risk management and integration plans.
  • Experience in Java development.
  • Experience in Oracle SQL development and data architecture.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously
  • Extremely motivated, results oriented individual that is very self-directed and comfortable thinking and reacting quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to influence at all levels in the organization.

  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

Base compensation ranges from $135,000 to $175,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
