Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Leader in the United States for a major mining project in Casa Grande. You will oversee EPCM consultants, coordinate multi-discipline design work, and ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and technical standards throughout the project lifecycle.

You will drive value engineering, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with procurement and project services to support milestone delivery and capital execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline required.
• Minimum 12+ years of progressive engineering experience in large-scale mining projects.
• Minimum 5+ years of senior engineering leadership overseeing EPCM contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct EPCM consultants, engineering design firms, and third-party contractors on basic and detailed engineering for the project.
• Coordinate site-wide discipline engineering scopes including crushing plants, heap/vat leaching, SX/EW facilities, tailings/waste management, and utilities.
• Ensure engineering specifications, safety, and regulatory requirements are incorporated into design packages.
• Manage schedules, procurement deliverables, and technical bid evaluations to support milestones and procurement.
• Promote Safety in Design, environmental stewardship, risk identification, and quality management across all scopes.
• Oversee scope control, change management, and technical query resolutions across EPCM and vendors.
• Conduct value engineering and NAV optimization for major capital infrastructure.
• Maintain budget oversight, cost control, man-hour tracking, and forecasting across EPCM contracts.
• Participate in tollgate reviews, PFS/FS, and PMP refresh cycles.
• Support contract package preparation, CBAs, and negotiations with Procurement.

Role Accountabilities:

• Lead,oversee, and direct key EPCM consultants, engineering design firms, andthird-party contractors executing basic and detailed engineering for theProject.
• Directand coordinate site-wide discipline engineering scopes including crushingplants, heap/vat leaching facilities, SX/EW processing facilities,tailings/waste management, power/water infrastructure, and minefacilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor'sdegree in related engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Metallurgical, Chemical, Mining, or Construction Engineering).
• Minimum12+ years of progressive engineering experience in large-scale mining projectexecution, detailed design, and capital project engineering management.
• Minimum5+ years of senior engineering leadership experience overseeing EPCMcontractors on major mining or heavy industrial projects.
• Extensiveexpertise in managing major EPCM consultants and engineering design executionfor large-scale CAPEX mining, hydrometallurgical, or heavy industrial capitalprojects.
• In-depthtechnical knowledge of mine infrastructure, mineral processing facilities(crushing, grinding, leaching, SX/EW), tailings/waste management, and siteutilities.
• Strongproficiency in project management systems, scope and change control, costforecasting, scheduling tools (Primavera P6/MS Project), and contractadministration.
• Comprehensiveunderstanding of Safety in Design principles, HAZOP, MSHA/OSHA safetyregulations, and environmental permitting compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master'sdegree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration(MBA).
• ProfessionalEngineer (P.E.) license or equivalent professional registration.
• ProjectManagement Professional or equivalent certification.
