Job summary

Cleco Corporate Holdings LLC is seeking a senior professional to lead the Energy/Back Office Accounting function. The role oversees reconciliation of commodity purchases/sales, prepares disclosures for derivatives, and partners with financial leadership to align with strategic plans.

The incumbent improves processes and mentors staff, ensuring accurate financial statements and compliance across regulatory filings and reporting frameworks.

Qualifications

• Strong business acumen in the Utility industry and knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience leading Energy/Back Office Accounting functions and coordinating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve procedures and systems for Energy/Back Office Accounting operations, maintaining internal controls.
• Lead monthly close, analyses, and regulatory reporting for energy accounting.
• Oversee fuel reconciliations and defer fuel calculations.
• Approve month-end close entries and settlement-related journal entries.
• Supervise LPSC and FERC filings and ensure SOX compliance.
