Job summary

KBF Advisory seeks a Senior Manager (or Manager) to join its Emerging Growth tax team in the United States. You will lead complex tax engagements for venture-backed startups, mentor staff, and collaborate across federal, state, and international matters.

Ideal candidates have CPA, 8–12+ years in public tax, experience with equity compensation, QSBS, and M&A due diligence. Ability to leverage AI tools for research and memo drafting is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s preferred.
• CPA license is required.
• 8–12+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Strong corporate/partnership tax knowledge and advisory skills.
• Experience with startups, SaaS, or venture-backed firms.
• Experience/willingness to use AI tools for tax research and memo drafting.
• Proficiency in tax software such as GoSystem and OIT.
• Familiarity with equity compensation, QSBS, R&D credits, and M&A due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted tax advisor to emerging growth companies across the startup lifecycle.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and support diligence and advisory services.
• Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services for venture-backed firms.
• Review federal and multi-state tax returns for accuracy.
• Research complex tax issues and draft clear memoranda.
• Build strong client relationships and collaborate with internal teams.
• Mentor associates and senior staff; support team growth and engagement.
• Assist with tax controversy matters and audits.
