Job summary

KBF Advisory, LLC is seeking a Senior Manager (or Manager) to join our Emerging Growth tax team in the United States. This role focuses on strategic tax advisory and planning for high-growth, venture-backed companies, with opportunities to lead engagements and mentor staff.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA, 8–12+ years of public accounting tax experience, and a track record with startups or SaaS businesses.

Qualifications

CPA license and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
8–12+ years of public accounting experience in tax.
Strong experience with corporate and/or partnership taxation.
Experience with startups, SaaS, or venture-backed businesses.
Proficiency in using AI tools for tax research and memo drafting.

Responsibilities

Advise emerging growth companies across formation to exit; oversee related tax engagements.
Develop cross-selling opportunities (R&D credits, QSBS, structuring) with teams; assist M&A due diligence.
Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to venture-backed and high-growth companies.
Review federal and multi-state tax returns for accuracy and completeness.
Research complex tax issues and prepare clear, concise technical memoranda.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and build strong relationships.
Collaborate with internal teams across federal, state, and international tax matters.
Mentor and develop associates and senior staff, supporting team growth and engagement.
Assist with tax controversy matters, including responding to notices and supporting audits.
