You will mentor a mix of onshore and offshore engineers and drive platform optimization. You will actively participate in architecture decisions, ensure scalability and security, and partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales to deliver

Qualifications

10+ years of eCommerce software development experience for DTC and B2B platforms.
4+ years hands-on Shopify Plus experience including advanced capabilities and integrations.
2+ years designing or supporting headless commerce architectures.
6+ years leading software development teams, including offshore resources.
Proven experience delivering scalable, high-volume eCommerce platforms.
Strong understanding of API-driven architectures and enterprise integrations.
Experience leading Agile software development teams and initiatives.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Location: Sandy Springs, GA (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite Weekly)

Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000 Base Salary + 15% Annual Bonus

Target Total Compensation: $172,500 - $207,000

Tier4 Group is seeking a highly technical, hands‑on Senior Manager, eCommerce Engineering & Digital Platforms to lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of a growing digital commerce ecosystem. This role will lead a small team of onshore and offshore developers while driving enhancements across Shopify Plus, enterprise integrations, and supporting digital platforms.

We're looking for a technology leader who remains actively involved in architecture, technical decision‑making, platform optimization, and team development. Key Responsibilities

Technology & Platform Leadership

Own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for eCommerce and digital platforms.
Lead the ongoing enhancement and optimization of a Shopify Plus environment supporting both DTC and B2B initiatives.
Drive the design, development, and support of scalable, secure, and high‑performing commerce solutions.
Evaluate and implement new technologies, integrations, and platform capabilities that improve customer experience and business outcomes.

Engineering Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of local and offshore software engineers.
Establish and maintain coding standards, development best practices, and quality assurance processes.
Conduct performance reviews, coaching, career development planning, and workforce planning activities.
Serve as a senior technical resource and trusted advisor to engineering and business stakeholders.

Architecture & Integrations

Lead architecture decisions across Shopify Plus, APIs, middleware platforms, cloud services, and enterprise integrations.
Ensure platform scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and business leadership to deliver technology solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
Support integrations with ERP, CRM, customer support, and other third‑party platforms.

Project Delivery

Oversee software development projects from planning through deployment.
Lead Agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Balance strategic planning with hands‑on involvement in architecture reviews, technical troubleshooting, and development oversight.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of eCommerce software development experience supporting DTC and B2B platforms.
4+ years of hands‑on Shopify Plus experience, including advanced platform capabilities and integrations.
2+ years of experience designing, implementing, or supporting headless commerce architectures.
6+ years of experience leading software development teams, including offshore resources.
Proven experience delivering scalable, high‑volume eCommerce platforms.
Strong understanding of API‑driven architectures, integrations, and enterprise systems.
Experience leading Agile software development teams and initiatives.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ERP integrations such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar platforms.
Experience with middleware and integration tools such as Celigo.
Exposure to AWS and modern cloud‑based application architectures.
Experience supporting mobile applications (iOS and Android).
Experience with Jira, Monday.com, Salesforce, Zendesk, or similar tools.
Shopify certifications or related technical certifications.
