SENIOR MANAGER, ECOMMERCE & MOBILE DEVELOPMENT 5638

Location: Sandy Springs, GA (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite Weekly)
Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000 Base Salary + 15% Annual Bonus
Target Total Compensation: $172,500 - $207,000
Travel: 3-4 Times Per Year

Tier4 Group is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, eCommerce & Mobile Development to lead the strategy, architecture, development, and optimization of modern digital commerce and mobile platforms for a fast-growing consumer brand.

This is a highly visible leadership role for a hands-on technology leader with deep expertise in Shopify Plus, headless commerce architecture, Vercel, mobile application development, and software engineering leadership. You will lead both onshore and offshore development teams while driving innovation, scalability, security, and exceptional customer experiences across digital channels.

What You'll Do

Strategic Technology Leadership

• Define and execute the technology strategy for eCommerce and mobile platforms.
• Develop and maintain multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation across digital channels.
• Partner with executive leadership to align technology investments with growth initiatives.

Architecture & Platform Ownership

• Lead the architecture, development, and modernization of headless Shopify eCommerce solutions.
• Oversee domestic and international DTC and B2B commerce platforms.
• Ensure platforms are scalable, secure, high-performing, and reliable.
• Drive best practices around system architecture, software quality, and development standards.
• Serve as a senior technical leader and strategic advisor on eCommerce and mobile initiatives.

Engineering Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of onshore and offshore software engineers.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching, succession planning, and career development discussions.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.

Project & Delivery Management

• Oversee software development projects from planning through deployment.
• Drive Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.
• Manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives and stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, and Executive Leadership teams.
• Translate business objectives into scalable technology solutions.
• Lead integrations with ERP systems, middleware platforms, and third-party applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize customer experiences across web and mobile channels.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 12+ years of eCommerce development experience supporting both DTC and B2B environments.
• 4+ years of Shopify Plus experience, including advanced Shopify functionality and customization.
• Hands-on experience leading teams that build, deploy, and support headless Shopify solutions utilizing Vercel.
• 2+ years of experience architecting and delivering headless eCommerce platforms.
• 6+ years of experience managing and mentoring software development teams, including offshore resources.
• 6+ years of experience leading Agile software development initiatives.
• 3+ years of hands-on mobile application development experience across both iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience integrating eCommerce platforms with middleware and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of web and mobile application security, scalability, performance optimization, and reliability.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep expertise with modern headless commerce architectures.
• Experience with Celigo or other middleware integration platforms.
• Experience integrating with NetSuite or comparable ERP solutions.
• Shopify certification(s).
• Experience with Jira, Monday.com, Zendesk, Salesforce, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Experience supporting high-volume digital commerce environments.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization, testing methodologies, and DevOps practices.
