Job summary

CHEP USA seeks a Senior Manager, Capital Engineering to lead the development and execution of digital engineering solutions across NA. You will drive large-scale capital projects for automation, IoT and continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include CapEx planning, contractor supervision, safety compliance, and MTBF improvements using AI, robotics and digital twin models. Hybrid remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• 5–7 years of project engineering/management experience on large industrial projects.
• Proven track record delivering capital projects over $5MM.
• Experience with material handling, automation, conveyance systems and robotics.
• Experience leading a technical team of engineers.
• English proficiency; Spanish desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of large-scale capital engineering projects for automation and IoT.
• Collaborate with Operations, Health & Safety, Finance and Quality to drive project success.
• Prepare CapEx documents with cost estimates and justifications.
• Oversee equipment installation, contractor supervision and safety compliance.
• Drive MTBF improvements and efficiency using AI, robotics and digital twins.
• Ensure training and operational documentation handover to teams.
