A leading company is seeking a Senior Manager, Demand Generation to scale their inbound funnel. With a global remote team, active developer community, and thousands of users trusting Timescale every day (including leading organizations like Hugging Face), we’re scaling rapidly. To support this growth, we’re seeking a Senior Manager, Demand Generation to help us scale our inbound funnel.
As the Senior Manager, Demand Generation, you’ll be responsible for owning and scaling awareness, acquisition, and conversion efforts. This includes managing paid media strategy (search, display, social, and retargeting), overseeing lead nurturing programs, and aligning closely with Sales and Product Marketing to ensure campaigns are targeting the right audience, with the right message, at the right time. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives on performance metrics and knows how to blend creativity with digital precision to drive pipeline growth.
Marketing Leadership: Develop and implement a scalable demand generation strategy that fuels the Timescale Funnel
Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Marketing, Developer Advocacy, and Content to align campaign messaging and track funnel performance.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a demand generation team of three, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
Campaign Execution: Oversee the creation and optimization of multi-channel campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, influencers, and paid media.
Sales Collaboration: Work closely with sales leadership to define lead qualification criteria, ensure smooth lead handoff, and optimize the sales funnel.
Performance Analysis: Partner with Marketing Ops and Finance to measure campaign performance, ROI, and pipeline contribution.
Agency Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with digital agencies, freelancers, and technology vendors as needed.
Proven leadership experience in demand generation, growth marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role.
Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, especially cross-functional leadership.
Deep knowledge of paid media strategy—particularly Google Ads, LinkedIn, retargeting networks, and programmatic display.
Experience managing and mentoring a team, with a bias toward collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Strong understanding of SaaS funnels, sales cycles, and attribution models.

You’re uncomfortable with a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly.
You do not have an interest in building your technical skills, and have a passion for developer tools.
