Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced network leader to hire, supervise, and develop a strong crew while aligning with divisional strategy. The role oversees the network group responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and integrating new networking technologies to meet business needs.

The position requires a minimum of ten years of related experience, Cisco certifications are preferred, and a graduate degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years related work experience.

• Working knowledge of data center networking concepts, including BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, and leaf-spine topologies.
• Experience managing senior technical engineers and enterprise networking vendors.
• Understanding of integrating a comprehensive network stack and hybrid cloud connectivity.

• Ensures problem identification, escalation, and resolution occurs in an expedient manner on all platforms
• Oversees the implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures, system monitoring and automation, and troubleshooting activities
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement
• Participates in the development of short and long term department goals
• Implements operational plans to achieve department objectives
• Ensures service level commitments are clearly understood to meet business needs
• Manages the testing, evaluation, and selection of vendor products and manages relationships with vendors
• Ensures compliance with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures within the team

Requirements

• Minimum of ten years related work experience
• Network experience preferred
• Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience
• Graduate degree preferred
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Engineer (CCIE), or Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) preferred
• Working knowledge of data center networking concepts, including BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, and leaf-spine topologies
• Experience managing senior technical engineers and enterprise networking vendors
