Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Senior Manager of Customer Quality to bridge EnerSys with key customers, ensuring products and services meet expectations and regulatory standards. You will lead root-cause analysis, audits, and continuous improvement across the organization while guarding the company’s reputation and customer satisfaction.

The role reports to EnerSys Energy Systems and involves collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to drive quality excellence and robust process controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with customer-facing roles.
• 3+ years in leadership with direct reports.
• Solid knowledge of ISO9001, IATF16949, and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison between customers and internal teams (Operations, Supply Chain).
• Lead resolution of customer quality issues using structured problem-solving (8D, CAPA, 5 Why).
• Collect and translate customer feedback into internal metrics.
• Coordinate field actions, containment, and recall evaluations when defects occur.
• Lead external customer site audits and prepare for global standard compliance.
• Define quality requirements in quality agreements and SLAs.
