Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager for Credit Review to lead continuous testing and targeted reviews across portfolios, with emphasis on the Brex acquisition. You will drive independent oversight, collaborate with Risk Management, and communicate findings to executive leadership.

The role requires strong credit and risk analysis skills, leadership, and the ability to navigate a large organization across three lines of defense, while delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 8 years of direct transactional credit experience (underwriting, workout, risk management, credit review or regulatory).
• Preference for traditional cash flow and leveraged lending experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete transactional testing to assess client selection, underwriting quality, borrower monitoring, and risk ratings.
• Analyze portfolio composition to identify trends and risks and provide an opinion on portfolio quality.
• Participate in or lead Targeted Reviews to assess key risks in portfolios.
• Identify gaps in credit policy, credit processes, and risk rating models.
• Identify key and emerging risks and communicate results to executives and regulators.
• Build and maintain relationships across the three lines of defense and with Brex management.
• Advise business heads and lenders with effective communication channels for stakeholders.
• Provide business leadership to drive critical decisions and results.
• Develop and execute monitoring plans and assist in quarterly Business Assessment Reports.
