Job summary

Capital One's Commercial Credit Review team seeks a Senior Manager to lead continuous testing and targeted reviews within assigned portfolios, support the annual Credit Review plan, and collaborate across Credit Review teams.

In this role you will analyze portfolio composition, identify risks, communicate results to executives and regulators, and build strong cross‑defense relationships to guide business leaders toward critical, data‑driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with traditional cash flow and leveraged lending.
• At least 8 years of direct transactional credit experience (underwriting, workout, risk management, credit review or regulatory).

Responsibilities

• Complete transactional testing to assess client selection, underwriting quality, borrower monitoring, and risk rating accuracy.
• Analyze portfolio composition to identify trends and risks and provide an opinion on portfolio quality.
• Lead Targeted Reviews to assess key risks in specific or multiple portfolios.
• Identify gaps in credit policy, credit processes, and credit risk rating models.
• Identify key and emerging risks.
• Communicate results to executive-level management, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships across all three lines of defense.
• Act as advisor to business heads and lenders through effective communication channels.
• Provide leadership to drive decisions and deliverable results.
• Develop and execute monitoring plans.
• Assist in or lead quarterly Business Assessment Reports.
• Lead special projects.
