Job summary

Vanguard seeks an accomplished communications leader to head Research & Insights within Corporate Communications. This senior role acts as a trusted advisor, translating data and external intelligence into compelling points of view and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

The Senior Manager will build and lead a team, establishing Research & Insights as a strategic intelligence function that informs reputation management and enterprise communications decisions.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of related professional experience.
• Significant direct experience in media relations, public relations or corporate communications.
• Experience applying research, analytics or audience intelligence to communications strategy.
• Proven experience counseling senior leaders and translating complex findings into recommendations.
• Demonstrated leadership and enterprise impact.
• Experience with communications measurement and media intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Hire, evaluate and supervise crew; provide guidance and development; set performance standards.
• Set strategic direction for Vanguard's Corporate Communications research, insights and measurement.
• Translate research findings into actionable recommendations for senior audiences.
• Serve as a senior counselor to leaders on how research and external intelligence affect positioning and narratives.
• Lead reputation intelligence and analysis to anticipate opportunities and risks.
• Develop and evolve enterprise reporting, including the Corporate Reputation Report and executive readouts.
