Job summary

Rocket Lab, based at its global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, seeks a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to own month-end close, audit readiness, and a growing accounting team. You’ll partner with Finance, Legal, and Tax to scale operations and improve workflows.

With 10+ years of progressive accounting experience and US GAAP expertise, you’ll drive SEC filings, ERP enhancements, and automation initiatives while mentoring a high-performing team in a fast-growing space company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience with demonstrated leadership and process improvement success.
• Deep proficiency in US GAAP with a proven ability to translate technical accounting principles into efficient, real-world workflows.
• CPA license (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end month-end close across procure-to-pay, fixed assets, equity, leases, and treasury.
• Manage quarterly reviews and annual external audits, ensuring clean execution and SEC reporting readiness.
• Scale ERP systems enhancements, automation, and internal reporting upgrades.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing corporate accounting team.
