Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Accountant based at our Long Beach, CA headquarters. You will oversee key accounting functions, ensure GAAP-compliant records, and support timely financial reporting.

The role requires 5+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with proficiency in Infor Syteline, LN, CostPoint/Deltek and advanced Excel. Base salary ranges from $88,000 to $110,000 with a comprehensive benefits package and equity potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with GAAP.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Infor Syteline, LN, CostPoint/Deltek) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end closings with journal entries per GAAP.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare and review trial balances and schedules for reporting.
• Oversee payable, receivable and aging reports; ensure timely payments.
• Analyze financial data for variance and flux reporting.
• Assist with monthly cash forecast and audits.
