Job summary

Caris Life Sciences seeks a Senior Manager – Corporate Accounting to own the monthly and quarterly close end-to-end, manage journal entries and reconciliations, and oversee accounting for a portfolio of accounts. You will partner with SEC Reporting, FP&A, Internal Audit, and Legal to ensure robust financial controls in a newly public company.

You will lead a team of accountants, drive process automation, and maintain SOPs. A CPA and Big 4 background with SEC experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA certification required.
• Big 4 public accounting experience is required.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 4 years with an SEC registrant or public company.
• 2+ years of direct people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and quarterly close end-to-end with close calendar and task ownership.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee accounting for assigned accounts, including estimates and accruals.
• Collaborate with SEC Reporting to support external filings.
• Identify and reduce close cycle time without reducing quality.
• Maintain internal controls documentation and SOPs; update as needed.
• Support Internal Audit and external auditors during reviews and audits.
• Drive automation and standardization across close and reconciliation processes.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accountants.
