Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA seeks a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to lead month-end close, drive SEC readiness, and guide a growing accounting team. You’ll partner with Finance, Legal, and Tax to support rapid operational scale and ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role requires a CPA or equivalent, 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership, and deep US GAAP proficiency. Onsite role with strong collaboration and process improvement focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated team leadership and process improvement success.
• Deep proficiency in US GAAP with ability to translate principles into efficient workflows.
• CPA license (or equivalent) preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end month-end close across procure-to-pay, fixed assets, equity, leases, and treasury.
• Drive audit readiness and SEC reporting alignment through quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Scale ERP enhancements, automation, and internal reporting to improve accounting systems and processes.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing corporate accounting team and promote continuous improvement.
