Job summary

Inova Health in Fairfax is seeking a Senior Manager for Continuous Improvement to lead enterprise-wide performance initiatives on a full-time, day-shift basis. You will shape strategies, coach teams, and align operations with safety and quality goals.

The role requires eight+ years of experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree (or four years' experience in lieu), and a track record of measurable results in healthcare operations. A Master's degree and Black belt are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field.
• Experience leading enterprise-level performance improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated success delivering measurable outcomes and cost savings.
• Prior people leadership experience including coaching and mentoring.
• Black belt certification preferred or willing to obtain.

• Oversees assigned department or functional area to ensure it is performing effectively, including hiring and training and delegating tasks.
• Oversees and leads independent analyses on key organizational clinical, financial, and operational indicators.
• Interprets complex data and converts it to useful information to drive performance improvement.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Senior Manager Continuous Improvement

Job Responsibilities

• Oversees assigned department or functional area to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks.

• Interprets complex data and converts it to useful information to drive performance improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience - 8 years of experience


• Education - Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree) Preferred Qualifications:


• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.


• Experience leading enterprise-level performance improvement initiatives focused on complex organizational priorities.


• Demonstrated success delivering measurable outcomes, such as reductions in cycle time, improved operational performance, quality improvement, or significant cost savings.


• Strong preference for candidates whose resume reflects objective, quantified results across prior improvement work.


• Prior people leadership experience, including direct management, team development, coaching, and mentorship.


• Experience leading teams or stakeholders through large-scale, impactful change.


• Experience in healthcare operations strongly preferred.


• Background in engineering or a related analytical/problem-solving discipline preferred.


• Candidates with a non-clinical background and healthcare industry experience are also encouraged to apply.


• Certification - Black belt preferred or willing to get
