Job description

Senior Manager, Content & Brand based in United States. This is a senior marketing leadership role focused on building a compelling brand narrative and scalable content engine for a growing B2B technology organization.

You will define the category point of view, develop thought leadership, and create content that strengthens market authority and supports revenue growth.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution, making it ideal for a player‑coach who can set direction while producing high‑quality content when needed.

You will partner closely with Sales, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and executive stakeholders to turn expertise into practical assets that influence customer conversations and pipeline.

A major focus will be developing speaker and influencer programs, original research, editorial programming, and content across owned and executive channels.

You will lead a team and external creative network while establishing clear standards, priorities, processes, and performance expectations.

The position offers substantial autonomy and strategic influence, with the opportunity to shape brand positioning, content operations, and cross‑functional marketing impact.

Accountabilities
  • Define and maintain the organization’s category narrative, brand point of view, and messaging in collaboration with Product Marketing and executive stakeholders.
  • Commission or produce original research, benchmark reports, trend studies, and data‑driven thought leadership that establishes category authority.
  • Build and manage an editorial calendar across owned channels such as blogs, LinkedIn, newsletters, executive communications, speaking engagements, and podcasts.
  • Establish and maintain high editorial standards across the content program, ensuring consistency, quality, relevance, and audience impact.
  • Lead the speaker and influencer program end-to-end, including prospecting, vetting, partnership development, event placements, briefing, and performance measurement.
  • Coordinate executives, customers, external partners, analysts, and other subject‑matter experts as speakers, panelists, and content collaborators.
  • Partner with Sales and Demand Generation to transform thought leadership into pipeline‑supporting assets such as battlecards, social proof, webinars, campaign copy, one‑pagers, talk tracks, and sales decks.
  • Manage a content team and/or network of freelance writers, designers, and agencies, providing direction, mentorship, and accountability.
  • Own budgets for content production, speaker fees, sponsorships, influencer partnerships, and related programs.
  • Track content performance through engagement, share of voice, category association, pipeline influence, and sales adoption of content assets.
  • Lead large‑scale content and brand initiatives with a high degree of autonomy and ensure alignment with broader marketing and organizational priorities.
  • Resolve cross‑functional dependencies, manage competing priorities, and drive adoption of improved content and brand processes.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in content marketing, brand marketing, or content strategy, including experience in B2B SaaS or a comparable technical category.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience or experience managing a blended team of employees, freelancers, and agencies.
  • Proven ownership of a brand or category narrative and experience turning that narrative into a sustained content program rather than a one‑off campaign.
  • Demonstrated experience building or managing speaker, analyst, influencer, conference, podcast, or partner co‑marketing programs.
  • Strong editorial judgment with excellent hands‑on writing and editing skills, combined with the ability to develop and execute broader strategy.
  • Proven ability to partner closely with Sales and/or Demand Generation to create content that supports pipeline and revenue opportunities.
  • Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, project management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to operate independently, make decisions with limited supervision, and provide strategic direction across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring team members and managing senior contributors, freelancers, agencies, and external partners.
  • Strong understanding of content and social analytics, with the ability to evaluate performance through meaningful business metrics such as pipeline influence and share of voice.
  • Experience producing original research or data‑driven thought leadership is a plus.
  • Familiarity with physical security, loss prevention, retail operations, or other operations‑and‑data‑focused industries is desirable.
  • Must be a Canadian or American citizen or otherwise eligible to work in Canada or the United States.
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal records check upon hire and comply with applicable security policies and standards.
Benefits
  • Canada OTE compensation of CA$124,885–CA$172,000, with equity offered.
  • Remote work opportunity in Canada.
  • Meaningful equity for full‑time, permanent employees.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Monthly reimbursement for fitness, wellness, or mental health programs.
  • Annual support for professional growth and development.
  • Flexible approach to where and how work gets done where the role permits.
  • High‑autonomy and entrepreneurial environment with clear expectations and candid feedback.
  • Strong team‑oriented culture with opportunities for social connection and collaboration.
  • Significant opportunity to shape brand strategy, content operations, thought leadership, and market positioning.
  • Opportunity to work cross‑functionally with Sales, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and executive stakeholders.
  • Career advancement based on contribution, initiative, and impact.
