Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Manager to lead the Closures Manufacturing Engineering team at one of our U.S. sites in Normal, IL; Plymouth, MI; or Atlanta, GA.

You will own the manufacturing process strategy for closures across programs, lead a team of manufacturing engineers, and serve as the primary technical point of accountability for closures quality, cost, and launch readiness. You will collaborate with Body Structures, Design Engineering, Quality, Tooling and Plant Operations to ensure closures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing or equivalent technical field.
• Extensive experience in automotive manufacturing engineering with focus on closures.
• 5+ years of people leadership managing engineers or technical teams.
• Hands-on PFMEA/DFMEA, control plans, GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing closures engineering team.
• Own manufacturing process strategy and equipment concept development for closures.
• Collaborate with Product Design Engineering to influence manufacturability.
• Lead problem-solving across virtual builds, prototypes, and launches.
• Drive closures program deliverables including design, development, quality, timing and cost.
