Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Senior Manager for Closures Systems to lead end-to-end ownership of the Closures Systems business. You will drive KPIs (Quality, Cost, Weight, and Functional Performance) and own the design review process with cross-functional teams across Program Vehicle Management, CAE, and Manufacturing Engineering to deliver robust production-ready designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10 years of experience in Closures Systems & BIW design & release with increasing leadership responsibilities.
• 3–5 years minimum managing an engineering department with a proven track record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong leadership and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering KPIs including Quality, Cost, Weight & Functional Performance (QCWF).
• Lead global Closures Systems strategy, product development, supplier development and production validation.
• Guide design reviews and ensure robust FMA adherence across cross-functional teams.
• Develop and deploy commodity standards, DFMEAs, DVP&Rs and verification methods.
• Mentor and develop the global Closures Systems team and manage budgets and resources.
