Job summary

Caribou Biosciences is seeking a Senior Manager of Clinical Biomarkers to lead the biomarker strategy for allogeneic cell therapy programs. You will develop and execute biomarker plans across clinical phases, enable precise patient selection, and support safety assessments in collaboration with translational and clinical teams.

The role combines hands-on biomarker science with regulatory documentation and cross-functional leadership, with options for on-site or remote work from Berkeley.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Oncology/Immunology or related field with 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in oncology.
• Proven ability to develop and execute biomarker plans aligned with clinical development goals.
• Experience leading biomarker components of phase I-III trials in biopharma.
• Strong ability to analyze and integrate biomarker and clinical data to inform decisions.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for biomarker development in cell therapy (FDA/EMA/ICH).
• Experience managing external vendors and biomarker operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of clinical biomarker plans aligned with development strategy.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions related to biomarkers.
• Lead biomarker activities across all trial phases, ensuring timelines and budget alignment.
• Analyze results, interpret data, and communicate findings at meetings and with senior leadership.
• Oversee translational research groups and cross-functional teams for biomarker strategies.
• Support back-translation and translational strategies including patient selection.
