Job summary

Augusta National Golf Club is seeking a Senior Manager, Charitable Accounting, to lead technical accounting and compliance for its not-for-profit entities, including the Masters Tournament Foundation and related charitable programs. This on-site role in Augusta, GA requires deep GAAP knowledge, not-for-profit fund accounting, and a track record of leadership in a multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Five plus years of accounting experience with not‑for‑profit exposure required.
• Leadership experience of two+ years preferred.
• CPA preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Forms 990, 990-PF, 990-T and related schedules is valued.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical accounting authority for not‑for‑profit entities; research, analyze, and document complex accounting issues.
• Communicate financial results and regulatory status to executive stakeholders; prepare board level reports.
• Own the design, maintenance, and application of the fund accounting structure; ensure ASC 958 compliance.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax preparers; manage audit relations and prepare tax inputs.
• Lead regulatory and tax compliance, including IRC §4958, Form 990‑T, and grant compliance.
• Supervise and mentor staff; review work and set performance expectations.
• Prepare financial statements for MTC and affiliates; oversee month-end close and consolidations.
• Provide program-level financial reporting and variance analyses to leadership and grantors.
• Strengthen internal controls and SOPs; ensure audit readiness.
• Support strategic initiatives including migration accounting and related-party transactions.
