Job summary

Legend Biotech US is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering, to lead a multidisciplinary team supporting commercial CAR-T manufacturing operations in Raritan, NJ. You will own the lifecycle management of equipment, drive process optimization, and oversee non-conformance investigations, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.

The role requires 10+ years in engineering/manufacturing in regulated life sciences, 5+ years of people leadership, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
Master's degree or MBA preferred.
10+ years in engineering/manufacturing/technical operations in pharma/biotech/biologics.
5+ years of people leadership in technical teams.
Experience supporting cGMP manufacturing operations.
Experience leading complex investigations and CAPA implementation.
Cell therapy/biologics manufacturing experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization supporting commercial CAR-T manufacturing operations.
Own lifecycle management strategy for cell therapy manufacturing equipment and systems.
Drive continuous improvement, cost of goods reductions, and regulatory compliance.
Partner with Validation, Maintenance, Quality, MSAT, and Regulatory teams to maintain validated state.
Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives for process efficiency and throughput.
Develop and execute engineering strategies to reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining quality.
