Job summary

Legend Biotech in New Jersey is seeking a Sr. Manager, Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team supporting commercial CARVYKTI cell therapy manufacturing.

You will drive lifecycle management of equipment and systems, oversee qualification and investigations, and partner with QA, Validation, Maintenance, MSAT, and Regulatory to ensure continuous production. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 10+ years in pharma/biotech, 5+ years of people leadership, and a track record of cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of engineering/manufacturing/technical operations experience in pharmaceutical/biotech.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience managing technical or engineering teams.
• Experience supporting cGMP manufacturing operations and CAPA implementation.
• Experience in cell therapy manufacturing or biologics is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of engineering professionals supporting cell therapy manufacturing operations.
• Establish team goals and development plans aligned with site and business priorities.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Own lifecycle management strategy for manufacturing equipment, utilities, and process systems.
• Ensure equipment reliability, qualification, change control, and inspection readiness.
• Partner with Validation, Maintenance, Quality to maintain validated state of equipment.
• Drive long-term asset management and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment and processes.
