Job summary

Hungerford seeks a Business Valuation Senior Manager to lead complex engagements and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and referral partners. You will provide technical leadership within Hungerford’s valuation practice, manage engagements end-to-end, and expand capacity while guiding future leadership.

You will develop relationships with attorneys, bankers, and CPAs, oversee quality control, and mentor junior staff as the team grows across West Michigan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 10+ years of business valuation experience.
• ABV, ASA or CVA credential required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead valuation engagements.
• Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies and reporting standards.
• Experience preparing valuation reports for M&A, estate planning, disputes, and finances.
• Established referral network with attorneys and other advisors.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Strong project management and ability to manage multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex valuation engagements from planning through final report.
• Serve as trusted advisor to clients and referral partners.
• Provide technical leadership within the valuation practice.
• Manage engagements with minimal oversight while ensuring quality.
• Expand valuation capacity and strengthen referral networks.
• Improve valuation processes, deliverables, and quality control.
• Mentor and guide junior staff as the team grows.
• Increase the visibility of Hungerford’s valuation services in West Michigan.
