Job summary

Jobtailor in United States, Illinois, seeks a senior enterprise performance analyst to turn complex healthcare data into strategic insights. You will partner with Finance, Actuarial, Operations, Network Management, Healthcare Management, Underwriting, Product, and other teams to monitor performance and identify opportunities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field, 7+ years in healthcare or insurance economics, and strong report design skills using Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/math-related fields.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis or insurance economics.
  • Experience with data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data.
  • Advanced PC proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally within all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, monitor, and improve organizational performance through data-driven analysis and strategic insight generation
  • Partner across Finance, Actuarial, Operations, Network Management, Healthcare Management, Underwriting, Product, and other business functions
  • Identify performance trends, financial opportunities, operational risks, and emerging business issues
  • Transform complex financial and operational data into actionable insights for executive decision-making
  • Conduct rigorous analysis and root cause investigations
  • Develop and deliver enterprise performance reporting, dashboards, and strategic analyses
  • Provide executive reporting reviewed by senior leaders and C-suite members
  • Monitor performance against strategic objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial and operational results

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics, or related fields; other Bachelor Degrees may be considered
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, financial analysis, financial consulting or insurance industry economics, including 4 years’ experience in data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data
  • Advanced PC proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar
  • Proficiency in designing reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally within all levels of the organization, leading projects and in problem resolution
  • Experience developing, maintaining and leveraging collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and business leaders
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Candidates requiring current or future visa sponsorship are not eligible
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics
  • Preferred: Extensive health insurance industry experience with awareness of industry trends and competitive challenges
  • Preferred: Tableau, PowerPoint or similar
  • Preferred: Six Sigma certification
