Job summary

RTX is seeking a senior program/capture professional for a remote US-based role aligning with Collins Aerospace capabilities in military airborne communications. You will lead cross-functional efforts to win new DoD programs, forecast opportunities, and maintain key customer relationships from a remote setting near DC.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in defense electronics, DoD CONOPS expertise, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US DoD CONOPS and airborne communication systems requirements. Particularly a background in tactical airborne communications systems in the US Army, US Air Force and US Navy is desirable. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of the US DoD requirements, budget and procurement processes, and be comfortable interacting with DoD subject matter experts in all areas of the acquisition process. Strong relationships / experience with PMA-209 & OPNAV N98 are a plus. Experience with organizations such as PMA-209, OPNAV, US Army PEO-Aviation, FVL-CFT, DAMO-AV, and G8-FDV is desired.

This position is fully remote but proximity to Washington DC is preferred.

What You Will Do

• The successful candidate will work in conjunction with program management and engineering leads, to uncover, pursue and capture new business in the military airborne communication market
• Responsible for developing, forecasting, and capturing new opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing customers
• Develops and presents compelling strategic and business growth opportunities that may include market and competitive analysis via decision point reviews
• Continually scans environment for business and strategic growth opportunities
• Leading and working cross-functional, cross-enterprise teams
• Prepares and supports company profiles on competitors and potential acquisition candidates, including financial analysis
• Networks with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise. Represents organization as a prime contact on projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations
• Works on problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review of multiple factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, where erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would have a serious impact on the organization
• Normally receives minimal supervision on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments
• Skills: Well versed in Microsoft Office products. Experience with SalesForce CRM tool is a plus but not required

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• 10+ years of experience through a combination of military, government and/or defense electronic industry positions

Qualifications We Prefer

• Previous experience as a US Naval or USAF Aviator
• Strong background in military communication systems, capabilities, and technologies
• Professional and well-spoken presentation skills mandatory

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
