Job summary

TerraPower LLC in Bellevue, Washington is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Development to guide market entry strategies in the utility sector and advance growth across nuclear and related businesses.

You will lead market development teams, manage opportunities, and coordinate with Engineering to translate market insights into go-to-market plans, RFPs, and partnerships that strengthen TerraPower’s competitive position.

Responsibilities

  • Support the scoping, direction and growth of business development activities for TerraPower’s segments in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Manage processes of identifying and tracking opportunities; select opportunities TerraPower should pursue per the Market Development Plan.
  • Translate market intelligence into input for product, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Support Natrium product development through liaison with Engineering and other colleagues.
  • Catalogue and monitor partnering opportunities promoting TerraPower’s capabilities, including Federal and private sector.
  • Manage RFP processes, analyses; customer messaging; win themes; differentiation; win probabilities; capture reviews and decision gates.
  • Manage pre-proposal and proposal efforts in the US and third markets.
  • Support building TerraPower’s customer and supplier network aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Manage and promote the Natrium Users Advisory Committee (NUAC) and coordinate with NUAC members.

Business Development Senior Manager

TerraPower is looking for a senior business and product development professional who is knowledgeable of nuclear, energy and related businesses. This position resides in Business Development and Strategy and will interact with colleagues in other departments to develop and implement market entry plans and strategies in particular focusing in the utility sector. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of US and international experience and have relevant product development experience.

Responsibilities
  • Support the scoping, direction and growth of business development activities for segments of TerraPower’s business in collaboration with other colleagues.
  • Manage processes of identifying and tracking opportunities; and manage process of selecting opportunities that TerraPower should pursue, consistent with the Market Development Plan.
  • Translate market intelligence into actionable input for product, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Support Natrium product development efforts through liaising and coordinating with Engineering and other colleagues.
  • Catalogue and monitor established and/or unconventional partnering opportunities promoting TerraPower’s unique capabilities, including Federal and private sector opportunities.
  • Manage request for proposal (RFP) processes, competitive analyses, teaming analyses; customer messaging; win themes; differentiation; win probabilities; capture reviews and decision gates.
  • Manage pre-proposal and proposal efforts in the US and third markets.
  • Support building TerraPower’s customer and supplier network consistent with strategic objectives and in coordination with other business development verticals
  • Manage and promote the Natrium Users Advisory Committee (NUAC). Communicate with NUAC membership about meetings and help facilitate collaboration between TerraPower and NUAC members.
  • Manage, develop and retain market development teams.
  • Protect TerraPower assets by understanding and adhering to TerraPower’s information security, export control and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act practices.

Salary Range: $148,722.11 - $193,145.60

*Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual’s qualifications experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
