Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a hands-on Manager of Bench Technical Services to lead a team of Biomedical Equipment Technicians and Biomedical Engineers. You will oversee repair, calibration, maintenance, and technical support for a wide range of medical devices, ensuring high quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor BMETs, coordinate training programs, and collaborate with the Director of Technical Services on strategy, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive technical and leadership experience in medical devices.
• Recent or current experience as BMET/Biomedical Engineer/Clinical Engineer.
• Strong supervisory/management experience leading biomedical personnel.
• Experience supervising field service technicians is highly desirable.
• Background in hospital biomedical engineering or clinical engineering.
• Strong electrical/electronics troubleshooting of complex medical equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of FDA/ISO quality systems and service records.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Biomedical/Technical Services dept.
• Supervise and develop a team of BMETs/medical device technicians (~15).
• Oversee repair, PM, calibration, testing, and upgrades of medical devices.
• Escalate complex issues and support advanced troubleshooting.
• Manage workflow, staffing, and resource allocation for productivity.
• Ensure work complies with procedures, specs, and quality standards.
• Maintain FDA/ISO compliance and documentation processes.
• Lead training, certifications, and technical development programs.
• Collaborate with Director on strategy and cross-functional initiatives.
• Perform hands-on repairs and technical updates when needed.
