Job summary

Foley & Lardner LLP seeks a Senior Manager, Attorney Professional Development in Denver to lead the attorney training function across the firm, including AI learning initiatives. You will supervise the CLE program, partner with Talent and Business Development leaders, and shape curricula for associates through senior partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; JD preferred.
• Minimum ten (10) years of legal practice in a large law firm and/or experience in professional development or training, preferably in a law firm or professional services firm.
• Experience with or exposure to legal technology and AI tools in a professional services context is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all attorney training including legal and professional skills training.
• Operationalizes the firm’s attorney AI learning strategy across the lifecycle.
• Develops, pilots, and scales AI-related curriculum, resources, and programming.
• Develops and implements training programs on professional success, business of law, and business development.
• Manages tenure-based training programs such as Tier II Academy and the Senior Counsel meeting.
• Collaborates to onboard new associates and partners (New Associate Academy; Promoted Partner Program).
• Designs, manages, and implements ongoing training on professional success, business of law, and business development.
• Evaluates curriculum and sources content, including AI-related training resources.
• Manages relationships with external providers of training content.
• Evaluates competency models and curriculum guides for associates and senior counsel.
• Gathers feedback via surveys, assessments, and pilot groups.
• Develops presentations on training topics and core competencies.
• Oversees CLE credits and bar dues, coordinating with the General Counsel’s office.
