Job summary

BIC World seeks a Senior Manager, Brand Finance to guide the Marketing organization with financial strategy and category P&L forecasts. This role reports to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, with dotted lines to the Category Marketing Director, focusing on operating plans, forecasts, and strategic financial support for multiple brands.

Based in Norwalk, CT, this position supports a hybrid work model and is central to driving investments in promotions, pricing, and product

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
• 10–15 years of financial experience in a profit-driven org.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience in JDE, Hyperion Financial Management, TM1, Anaplan, Power BI.
• Strong cross-functional communication and global team collaboration.
• Proven budgeting and forecasting expertise.
• Strong presentation and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in deadline-intensive environment.

The Senior Manager, Brand Finance provides direct financial, analytical, and strategic guidance to the Marketing organization. This position reports directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis with a heavy dotted line to the Category Marketing Director.The Senior Manager, Brand Finance’s main function is to act as financial advisor to the Category Marketing Director by providing accounting and financial expertise. The Senior Manager, Brand Finance is also responsible for the forecast and analysis of the category P&L.

Role Details & Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage the operating plan, forecasts, and multi-year plans, working closely with the Marketing Director and Business Development Director to compile the annual operating plan presentation.
• Manage monthly financial updates along with associated financial analysis providing in-depth commentary of the category results, including the price/volume/mix analysis.
• Assist in strategic planning and analysis for multiple brands.
• Work with the Marketing team in developing sales targets, promotional and new products investment options, and pricing structure.
• Analyze Consumer Support and Advertising programs to ensure funds are properly spent and accounted for and that programs are implemented that will grow the business.
• Implement and enforce financial control policies.
• Identify financial impact associated with variances vs. forecast.
• Provide the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and VP Finance, North America with timely and accurate forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities versus current approved plan along with recommendations for resolving identified issues outside of the scope of the individuals’ responsibilities.
• Knowledgeable of the products, the market, the customers, and the consumers which enable us to better understand the financial results and the business drivers.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA, a plus.
• 10 to 15 years of financial experience in a profit driven organization.
• Advanced computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Experience in JDE, Hyperion Financial Management, TM1, Anaplan, Power BI a plus.
• Ability to effectively communicate across functions, with all levels of the organization, and with international (Global) team members.
• Willingness to adapt to changing business requirements and learn new systems/methods as required.
• Strong decision-making, organizational and problem-solving skills are essential as well as the ability to work effectively in a deadline intensive environment.
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence the audience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting are essential.
