JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Architecture
LOCATION: Remote (West Coast)
DURATION: Permanent
RATE RANGE: $150k - $175k

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager of Architecture leads system architecture and engineering strategy for the Data & Applications org. This hands-on leader ensures technical excellence through scalable design, clear documentation (SRDs/SDDs), and cross-functional collaboration. They manage a team of architects and engineers, shape product-aligned technical solutions, and drive modern architecture practices across the enterprise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Architecture & Strategy

• Define and evolve architectural standards, reference designs, and integration patterns.
• Ensure system designs meet security, compliance, and scalability requirements.
• Lead architectural planning and documentation for major initiatives.

Team Leadership

• Hire, develop, and manage a high-performing architecture and engineering team.
• Oversee Enterprise Architecture, DevOps, Core Engineering, and Quality Engineering.
• Establish onboarding, mentorship, and development programs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product, UX, and Data to align business goals with technical solutions.
• Translate complex architecture into business-aligned language for stakeholders.

Technical Execution

• Evaluate and implement emerging tech and scalable cloud-native systems.
• Drive hands-on technical leadership, spikes, PoCs, and support incident resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills & Experience

• 2+ years in engineering management; 4+ years in hands-on engineering.
• 3+ years in enterprise digital architecture.
• Strong background in Agile, cloud platforms (Azure), CI/CD, DevOps, containerization (Docker/K8s), frontend/backend frameworks, APIs, and SQL databases.
• Experience with Snowflake, Salesforce, and data platform strategy.
• Excellent communicator, system thinker, and cross-functional influencer.

Education

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (required); Master’s preferred.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, SnowPro Core, Salesforce Admin/CTA.
