Job summary

Healthcare Management Administrators, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Application Development in the greater Seattle area.

You will lead the Application Development team, guiding full-stack developers and data integration engineers to deliver scalable software. You will drive the SDLC, implement cloud-native solutions, and ensure HIPAA compliance while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration preferred.
• 10+ years of IT work experience leading development in enterprise environments with complex integrations.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing high performing teams.
• Experience with HIPAA security compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Application Development team, including full-stack developers & Data Integration Engineers.
• Oversee SDLC from design to deployment and Tier 3 support.
• Drive delivery of scalable, high-quality applications for core platforms (claims systems, APIs, integrations).
• Foster a high-performing culture focused on accountability and engineering excellence.
• Mentor and develop engineers; align priorities with business goals.
• Share governance and security practices across solutions.
