About the Role:

OLAPLEX is looking for a hands-on Senior Manager, Analytics Engineering, to lead the development, growth, and support of our data systems. The Lead Analytics Engineer should be a strong business partner, driven to excel in data and analytics, and collaborative in addressing real business problems.

You will work with the Head of Data, internal stakeholders, and external partners to define our data platform, focusing on modeling and landing data to build comprehensive data products in Snowflake Data Cloud, leveraging APIs, and using Fivetran/dbt. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting data analytics platforms and building impactful information from various data sources. This position reports to the Head of Data.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading the building, maintenance, and enhancement of the data architecture, including data lake, data warehouse, and data products.
2. Partnering with the Head of Data and technology leads to create and maintain a data engineering practice focused on data landing and product development.
3. Designing and engineering our data warehouse and data products using Snowflake and dbt.
4. Guiding data analysis, reporting, continuous improvement, and change management initiatives.
5. Performing sophisticated data modeling and architecture design.
6. Maintaining documentation of data platform best practices and proactively identifying process improvements.
7. Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations through proper processes and procedures.
8. Supporting data infrastructure for data science practices on Snowflake, including data sharing and marketplace features.
9. Owning platform and DBA responsibilities for back-end data systems.
10. Collaborating with business teams to map data to hypotheses and prepare data for reporting and analytics.
11. Redesigning data flows to maintain a single source of truth and consistent reporting.
12. Maintaining high security standards across the data ecosystem.

About You:

• 10+ years in a data engineering or similar analytical role.
• 8+ years as a data analyst, DBA, or Data Engineer.
• 8+ years of production-ready SQL experience.
• Leadership or people management experience.
• Extensive experience with Fivetran, Snowflake, and large datasets.
• Ability to own a data platform, from cost management to architecture and delivery.
• Deep experience with data wrangling tools like dbt is highly preferred.
• Strong skills in SQL, data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Ability to identify data anomalies and patterns.
• Understanding of relational databases and large datasets.
• Experience maintaining data infrastructure in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency with programming languages like Python or R is a plus.
• Experience with tools like NetSuite, Jira/Asana, Google Analytics, and Klaviyo.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Our Total Rewards:

The annual base pay ranges from $185,000 - $200,000, with eligibility for an annual bonus. Actual pay varies based on qualifications, experience, skill level, licenses, and location.
