Figma is seeking an engineering leader to grow and guide a team building foundational AI infrastructure. You will shape the technical strategy, align with product goals, and oversee day-to-day execution across engineering, product, and platform teams.

With 3+ years of engineering management and 8+ years in total, you will mentor senior engineers, help scale the org, and drive high-impact projects in a fast-paced, inclusive environment. Remote-friendly in the United States.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading high‑performing, fast‑moving teams, ideally in the AI space.
• 8+ years of total engineering experience, ideally reaching a staff engineering level as an individual contributor.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and support a team of engineers building foundational infrastructure for Figma’s AI products.
• Partner with engineering and product leaders to define the team’s technical strategy and manage daily execution.
• Hire, coach, and develop senior and staff engineers to scale the team.
• Roll up your sleeves to engage deeply with technical details to ensure a robust AI platform.
• Build an inclusive team and culture through thoughtful team-building and hiring practices.
