Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Full-Stack Engineer (People Leader) in McLean, VA to lead a team building AI-powered engineering enablers and accelerate software delivery. You will set the technical vision, architect reusable AI accelerators, and mentor engineers to achieve organizational excellence.

You’ll drive cross-functional collaboration, shape roadmaps, and influence enterprise standards while ensuring quality and reliability across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)
• At least 6 years of experience in software engineering
• At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or related tools
• At least 3 years of people management experience

• Set Technical Vision: establish the strategic roadmap for AI-driven engineering and operational excellence
• Architect Solutions: design reusable AI accelerators, automated tooling, and paved-road workflows
• Advance Operational Excellence: implement practices and tooling for high quality and reliable delivery
• Lead Engineers: coach and elevate a high-performing engineering team
• Partner & Influence: align cross-functional leadership to drive adoption of platform solutions
